Some Popular Vehicle Tracking Features

Vehicle tracking have absolutely boat loads of optional extras. These include geo fencing, panic alarm, satellite mapping, location naming, congestion zone alerts and live traffic services to name just a few.

The most popular optional extras are historic reporting, driver behaviour monitoring and integrated satnav. The reason being is that these help companies to really keep on top of the as they all assist in making them more efficient.

Integrated satnav obviously helps to get the drivers from a to b avoiding traffic if selected or built up areas that would slow them up, getting them there quicker.

Many fleet vehicles have the name of the company and contact details on the sides of the vehicle themselves, an excellent way of advertising the company but if the drivers are not driving responsibly then they can be giving the company a bad reputation, counteracting the advertising they are doing.

The historic reporting is also a useful tool as it allows fleet managers to look back at the whereabouts of the fleet vehicles with detailed findings. They are able to see where a specific vehicle has travelled to, in what direction, how fast the vehicle was travelling, the mileage etc. This is also a way of making sure that the vehicle are being used for things they are supposed to be used for and are being used sensibly.
